What Customers Say About Mercenaries 2: World in Flames:

i wasent sure when i bought it but it rocks dosent matter what anyone says this rocks its grand hteft auto for teens ecept you cant kill regular people but theres guns explosians the americans explosions buy it of not i dont care but you will LOVE IT.

It was truly disappointing, and we'll never know what could have been because Pandemic is now no longer. They actually have to report you first. The first game in this series was by far a better game; there was much more variety in the missions. Another nice touch was the fact that your standing doesn't automatically go down when you kill someone from that faction. And the finishing touch for this disappointing game is the final battle. It is simply reduced to a button mashing game. I can only think of maybe 5 or 6 truly unique missions in this game. I liked the fact that taking over a vehicle wasn't as easy as just pressing a single button.

But in the end these nice touches are not enough. I didn't even have to fight through hordes of guards to get to the guy. Other than the slightly improved graphics. Everything else is just the same mission with different scenery. The driving controls continue to be really loose and unwieldy, and aiming your weapon is just as unwieldy.

This game is fun but some problems are it would not load sometimes or I would be walking and the world would look messed up and then I would fall through the world

Pro's:Great Sandbox style gameYou can pick it up and play it for 10 min or 10 hoursplenty side missons to do.lots of things to detroy. i was on a mission to liberate a city from the VZ troops and after all was said and done about 3/4 of the city and been reduced to rubble.Tons of vehicles.

Some people view this as a bad thing but as a father of two i appreciate a game i can play when the kids are in the room.

Especially those pesky Helicopter's.NPC's are pretty funny and the "wager's" are fun if not a little easy.Fairly family friendly. If you are looking for a game you can go wreak endless havoc in this is certainly the game to do it in.

I just picked this game up and after reading all the conflicting reviews i was pleasantly suprised with what i have experienced in it so far. ie.

Fairly light on language and from what i have seen there is no blood.Con's:Don't like how no matter what your affiliation with a faction is if you approach a HVT (high value target) you are immediately fired upon.Vehicle Hijacking game is more annoying than challenging.Could use a difficulty setting (I haven't found one yet).Overall if you want a super in depth gaming experience this isn't for you.

There is no real variety of weapons, the controls are "wonky", there is no such thing as precision shooting, enemies detect you instantly from 500 meters (in cover), etc. It could have been much better, or should I say; Should have been much better.I know that being able to destroy everything on screen is their selling point, but, I'd have gladly traded that game design choice for the ability to fire any weapon with "1 shot/1 Kill" precision, and have had them work on the controls and gameplay much more before bringing this game to market. This game needed to stay in development a while longer. It may be worth $ 20 to some, but, I was disappointed.
